North Olmsted, Ohio
North Olmsted, Ohio is a Cuyahoga County community with an interesting history. It is bordered by Westlake to the north, Fairview Park to the west, Olmsted Falls to the south and N. Ridgeville to the west. North Olmsted is a west side suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and is the 8th most populated city within Cuyahoga County. As of the census of 2010, there were 32,718 people, 13,645 households, and 8,893 families residing in the city. North Olmsted has a school system that compares well to surrounding areas and has recently invested in a new school building currently under construction that will combine the North Olmsted High School and North Olmsted Middle School. The new building is anticipated to open in the fall of 2018.
While North Olmsted is a very residential town with pockets of neighborhoods spread throughout the town, it is also very commercial. There is the Great Northern Shopping Mall, an industrial park, a number of strip malls, hotels, apartment buildings, restaurants, and small and large businesses. The Cleveland Hopkins airport is only 10 minutes away and North Olmsted is about 30 minutes away from downtown Cleveland. North Olmsted also has two Cleveland Metroparks and the Rocky River Reservation that includes the historical Frostville Museum town and the Rocky River Nature Center.
